Music Struggles

I'm not what you would call musically inclined. 

I like listening to music just as much as the next person, yet trying to figure out how to compose music doesn't come naturally. I've tried several tutorials and found them all very useful, however, I just fell flat. The software I used was simple enough to get a good handle on it, yet when I played it in OpenMPT vs in GBStudio it always sounded different. So as a time to release the game was closing in I learned there was 8-bit music that was free to use with proper crediting that I fell in love with. All credit is in the game but I'm naming them here anyways.
