Game dev log

Hello, hope all is well and I hope I'm doing this right. I'm a new developer and I'm developing this Game in GBStudio, so please be patient as I learn my way around the software and such. I wanted to make logs that explain my development process. I started drafting this game on May 21, 2021 and have been on and off developing in my spare time between moving and putting out applications. I wanted to make this game small, unsettling, but overall fun to explore.

My current to-do list includes finishing maps through pixel art, making music for the game, and making menus. I have the story, notes, and interactable objects developed enough that implementing them shouldn't be the hassle my brain will make it out to be.

There will be some pieces of my original dev log I won't feel comfortable sharing until I'm further along in the development of the game.

Thank you for reading and I hope you'll join me in my progression.

Top of page reads "MC of Long Walk"

The picture has three figures of the same character at different phases of the game. The center figure is the first phase of the character, dressed in one hospital gown, holding onto an intravenous pole (the pole in a hospital that holds an IV), and sporting low pigtails. The character looks tired ad sad.

Text below the center figure reads, "This becomes" accompanied by an L-shaped arrow leading from the center figure to the figure on the left.

The left figure being the second phase of the character, wearing a dress with a pair of shorts underneath, a pair of boots, and a messenger bag slung across their chest as they lean on a cane for support.  The character's hair is let down and is extremely fluffy and coily, only reaching chin length. The character looks disgruntled and mildly annoyed with the situation.

Text above the center character reads, "Becomes" accompanied by an arrow that arches over the center figure, leading from the left figure to the right figure.

The right figure is the possible third phase of the character, wearing a cardigan, crop-top, leggings, and a set of sporty shoes. Their hair is in twists and pulled back into a scrunchy. They are noticeably happier, looking as though ready for a new adventure to start.

The text at the bottom reads "code????" accompanied by an arrow pointing down at blank space.
